Lunch time at Bantock was a rather different affair today as the children took to the playground to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s 90th Birthday in traditional style. Making the most of the weather, the children enjoyed a lunch of party food and took part in a street party, reminiscent of the scenes across the UK on the day of the Queen’s coronation in 1953! Libbie in Year 6 said, “Everyone enjoyed the Queen’s lunch and it was very scrumptious, succulent and tantalising – I think the Queen would have enjoyed being there to celebrate with us. We all hope that the Queen enjoyed her own royal meal as well as we did. ”
